Robert A. Scirocco recently settled an auto accident “uninsured motorist” claim on behalf of a client who sustained serious injuries when a rock crashed through his windshield while he was traveling on the highway. At the time of the accident, Mr. Scirocco’s client was driving a vehicle owned by his employer.
The source of the rock was identified by a witness as coming from an unidentified dump truck. Scirocco Law filed a lawsuit against both the employer’s auto insurance carrier and the personal auto insurance carrier. The employer’s carrier tried to limit the recoverable benefits to those of the personal carrier, but this was rejected by the court.
Mr. Scirocco is pleased to have secured a $750,000 settlement for his client on this “wrong place at the wrong time” case.
