Scirocco Law is pleased to report that founding partner Robert A. Scirocco settled a personal injury lawsuit for $500,000 on behalf of the firm’s injured client. In August 2019, Scirocco’s client was driving a motorcycle on Route 206 in Byram, NJ. He was stopped at a red light when he was unexpectedly rear-ended by an SUV. Scirocco’s client was thrown from his motorcycle, and landed facedown 5-10 feet forward on the pavement.
The client injured in this auto accident was taken to Newton Medical Center and released later that day. Conservative treatment was attempted but was not sufficient, and the client eventually underwent a lumbar fusion surgery.
In June 2023, the lawsuit against the driver of the vehicle responsible for the collision settled for $500,000. This represented the full limits of the driver’s GEICO insurance policy.
